We are currently seeking an experienced candidate for an excellent career opportunity in our Copenhagen office focusing on financial services. Our team focuses on financial risk controls and our main clients are financial institutions in the Nordics, where we help the finance leaders address the challenges and ongoing changes facing their business, and manage the resulting repercussions on the accounting, finance and risk function. We partner with EY colleagues both nationally and internationally to achieve our clients’ full potential.
We are seeking an experienced manager or senior manager with extensive knowledge within credit risk and a proven track record of successful work in this field. You will assist existing management drive the team and the business forward through managing existing engagements and exploring new business opportunities, develop go-to-market material and take action on sales to our valued clients. Our team has experienced impressive growth rates the last few years, which we wish to maintain, and we see you as a driving factor in ensuring this continuous growth.
While we do work in a fast-paced environment, we offer flexible work hours making it possible to nurture both work and family commitments.
The FSO FAAS team currently consists of 13 people in Denmark. We are a young and bright team based in Copenhagen with a Nordic focus, meaning we often work with both clients and colleagues from the other Nordic countries. Some traveling must therefore be expected.
What we are looking for
You are ambitious, outgoing and have a positive attitude. You see potential and opportunities instead of problems. You strive in a high-paced environment with occasional short deadlines, and working on several complex engagements at a time doesn’t scare you. You enjoy interacting with current and potential clients and stakeholders, and you are able to present complex issues in a simple way. You work well in teams as well as on your own, and you take responsibility for your individual as well as the team’s tasks and goals.
Your areas of responsibilities will be adjusted to best suit your qualifications, but overall we expect you to help manage the team and take responsibility for engagements and sales.
Therefore, we see you having
- a track record of academic excellence including a master or PhD in a relevant field such as economics, mathematics, statistics or physics
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably within credit risk
- strong writing and good communication skills
- understanding of the financial industry and regulations
We also see you having knowledge within one or more of the areas below
- Development and deployment of IRB models
- Establish risk appetite and governance around credit risk
- Development of decision models
- Big data analysis within credit risk (i.e. early identification of bad customers)
- Stress testing
- Validation of IRB models
Experience from a consultancy and/or a client facing role is preferred, but not a must. As is the ability to master one or more of the Scandinavian languages.
