The Business Intelligence Manager (BIM) leads the work related to forecasting of in-market sales for the specified Business Unit(s) and provides input to the Business Unit planning with regards to sales potential and portfolio management. Together with the BU VP and Senior Finance BP the BIM co-ordinates internal business review activities. The BIM is also expected to contribute to the analysis and conclusions of quantitative and qualitative market research in close collaboration with Brand Leads and Brand Managers.
From a therapeutic point of view of the Business Intelligence Managers will work with brands in the area of Oncology. The role can be based in any of the Nordic offices.
Plans the business, together with BU VP and the Senior Finance BP, by ensuring fact based forecasting and sensitivity analyses
Builds forecasting around insights from e.g. product launches, sales development, pricing, customer trends and phase out
Ensures common framework and process for generating relevant competitive intelligence
Ensures alignment with frameworks from Finance
Works closely with global Business Analyst and Insight team to ensure alignment with global forecast models & steer
Provides leadership to ensure pro-active input to high quality treatment/patient journey
B.Sc degree or equivalent in relevant discipline (e.g. Finance or Marketing)
Excellent knowledge in English language, both in writing and speaking
Excellent communication skills
Proven excellent analytical skills
Thorough understanding of marketing and business insight.
Experience from analyzing complex and extensive market data
Experience from portfolio analysis (ex banking or Generic/Parallel trade Pharma)
The Experience from multicultural business environment
MBA or equivalent
Experience of market access work
Demonstrated Pharma marketing or sales experience
To be successful in the roles you would need to contribute to the Business Unit’s general development in terms of turnover and profitability planning. You will be a core partner for the product and portfolio strategy development and therefore you need to demonstrate good understanding of the business unit’s customers, market conditions, competitive landscape, products and trends. You work with the BU leaders in order to suggest tangible forecast assumptions based on insights, pro-actively suggest conclusions and ensure focus on the broader picture for the unit’s specific situation. You are able to plan in different time perspectives, with a long term business vision in mind and being able to break it down into shorter time frames for planning purposes.
With strong indirect leadership capabilities you work closely together with VP BU as well as Finance in order to ensure good knowledge of the business as well as the financial situation. You are able to cooperate well with all other relevant functions with good understanding of the interdependencies, such as brand lead and managers, sales managers, Finance and Commercial Excellence. You are able to communicate well and impact the business activities indirectly for the relevant functions, in order to ensure alignment with the business unit’s targets.
