We are looking for an Associate Manager to head up a team in Diabetes Finished Products (DFP) Analytical Support.
About the department
Analytical Support in DFP Manufacturing Development consists of 75 employees, currently organised in 5 teams. Our main focus is performing chemical analytical methods, for our diabetes finished products under development, as well as our marketed products. We are responsible for validation of methods before clinical phase 3, and on the marketed products, we are securing the implementation of chemical analytical methods, to our production sites across the world. We also support our colleagues worldwide with analytical knowledge and scientific help.
We are seeking a new Associate Manager to head up one of our analytical teams, performing HPLC analysis, AAS, pH, particulate matter on diabetes development products in the late phase of clinical trials and marketed products. The team consist currently of 1 specialist, 4 academics and 8 lab/techs.
You will lead, coach and develop 13 highly dedicated and competent academics and laboratory technicians. You will have the responsibility for the performance of the team, and for ensuring the correct prioritisation between the team’s numerous tasks. You need to ensure, that the team has the right resources and competences at hand, at all times, and support your team, in both personal and professional development.
Furthermore, you will seek to establish good collaboration with your stakeholders, and participate in cross-organisational projects. Your leadership supports a LEAN culture, where continuous improvement is a natural part of everyday work.

You will report to the Director of DFP Analytical Support, and be a member of the Management team.
You have a scientific academic degree within a relevant field of expertise and you are a passionate people manager with strong analytical skills. Ideally you have 3-5 years of management experience in a laboratory environment, and proven strong leadership, with ability to inspire and motivate others and empower your team members, to deliver excellent results. You have a strong LEAN mind-set, an ability to facilitate complicated problem solving, and to find the right root causes. You have the ability to prioritise and plan ahead, while keeping focus in achieving the goals.
Additionally you are experienced within chemical analytical work and GMP environment.
