Detailed Description

Drive the new way of working

In FLSmidth, we are developing our business at a high pace - internally and externally. The core of our company is our engineers - inventing, developing and configuring products that makes a difference to our customers and the environment. To ensure we use best practice engineering processes we need 2 Business Process Managers (BPMs) to define and deploy best practice worldwide, one to be located in India and one in Denmark.

FLSmidth is located in more than 50 countries. We have two major divisions, Cement and Mining, and a range of product companies, ensuring we are able to meet the customer as a one-stop supplier. The diversity of our business is a great strength, and now we seek to streamline the internal processes to ensure we apply best practice worldwide and enhance internal productivity. It is our strategy to develop a strong concept of standardization/modularization of our products, enabling us to conduct business as “Configure to order" in order to reduce cost and lead-time. To aid this we are rolling out one global PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solution.

It is a central responsibility of the BPM to assist in the global PLM solution roll out, applying an end-2-end approach. Starting with preparing the local entity for the upcoming process changes that comes with the new solution. After the roll out, to go back for process confirmation of the full flow, since it is in the interfaces and the understanding of downstream processes we see a great potential.

The challenges range from current process analysis and change management, to defining what is best practice in close collaboration with the business. You will need to become closely familiar with the IT platforms, tools and the way we conduct engineering, in order to provide training in process and policy understanding to Key Users and management worldwide.

Job Requirements


To succeed you are able to gather people across departments, competences and geographical locations to understand and set high standards. You are driven by achieving results and know how to secure buy-in, just as you are no stranger to consulting others and communicating proactively.

We expect you to be a trained black belt or equivalent within lean/six sigma. It would be a great advantage if you also holds a master within engineering and are familiar with configuration management, systems engineering, engineering tools and standards.

We expect you to be:

• Excellent in process optimization and change management

• Strong in communication and facilitation

• Experienced with process documentations

• Fluent in English

• Able to travel up to 75 days pr. Year

• Experiences with PDM/PLM tools and product standardization will be considered a plus
