Business Support Manager
In the Business Support unit within Chemical and Pharmaceutical Research (CPR) we are looking for an experienced academic to supplement our team. The Business Support unit is established very recently and we are currently initiating new processes and systems while establishing our way of working. As our new colleague, you will join this exciting journey and play a key role in defining the way forward. Your main role will be to provide leadership for our sourcing activities in support of the development pipeline and strategic development in the area. You will also have the opportunity of being a central part of the development of the CMC business processes and of driving improvements within the organisation.
You will be the third member of a team who are working closely with colleagues within and outside the CPR organisation. Our department is located in Valby.
CPR is responsible for the CMC development and innovation of new drug candidates within depression, schizophrenia, Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease. We strive to develop new innovating treatments to help improve the lives of the patients suffering from these diseases. The CPR organisation is working with more external partners/vendors now and will continue to do so in the future to be CMC entrepreneurs and create even more CMC innovation.
Your job and key responsibilities
As Business Support Manager in CPR, you will collaborate with colleagues across the CPR and R&D organization on sourcing initiatives, optimisation projects and systems supporting the business processes.
You will collaborate with CROs, CMOs, and business partners, and you will be responsible for preparing & collecting documentation, coordinating and managing interactions with suppliers and driving processes for outsourcing of CMC development and GMP activities incl. internal decision processes. You will work with defining outsourcing processes for the area and act as the main contact person for sourcing initiatives for a number of stakeholders in the organisation.
Our preferred candidate has the following personal and professional qualifications:
- You have several years of experience from a similar position or working with outsourcing and project management within CMC development in the pharmaceutical industry.
- You are experienced in preparation of presentations for management, supplier evaluations and vendor management incl. working with governance & CMO/CRO oversight.
- You hold a MSc within pharmaceutical science, engineering or another relevant scientific discipline.
- You possess drive, good collaboration & coordination skills and a positive mindset.
- You are motivated by driving improvements and embrace challenges, and can inspire your colleagues and the teams you work in, even when facing obstacles.
- You have the ability to work on multiple assignments in parallel while keeping an overview on progress, priorities and deadlines.
- You are fluent in spoken and written English and understand written Danish.
